Ms. Samantha BUNES

Ms.Bunes happily started her early teaching career at Parkland in September of 2021 to educate others on her favorite subjects: physical education, various science courses, as well as the joyous surprise of taking on Yoga as a CTS option. She is well prepared for this position after completing a combined degree in both Kinesiology and Education with a minor in Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta.

As someone who absolutely loves athletics, Ms. Bunes has also been the coach for jr girls volleyball, and jr girls basketball teams at Parkland with intentions of doing so for as long as she can! Being a coach has brought so much joy to the experience considering all of the adventures that come along with being a part of a sports team.

Before Ms. Bunes moved away from the city of Edmonton (where she was born and raised) to be a part of the Edson community, she was also a full time Ukrainian dancer. Feel free to practice the Ukrainian language or talk about the culture with her at any time!
