Mrs. Kristin BASARABA

Since starting my teaching career at Parkland in the 2016/17 school year, I have been fortunate to hold many roles, including assistant principal, career and academic advisor, PSC department head, and teacher (English, Social Studies, Fantasy and Science Fiction Appreciation, amongst various options), prior to my appointment as Principal in the 2025/26 school year.
A Pacer Alumni myself, I graduated with my Bachelors of Education in 2013, and since then, have completed my E-Learning Certificate through the University of Calgary, my Graduate Certificate in Leadership Studies from the University of Alberta, where I am also currently enrolled in my Masters of Education.
I am an active member of the Edson community, engaged in local athletics, as well as a chauffer for my two children and their various extracurricular activities!
In my free time, I enjoy camping, biking, travelling, building Lego, and embracing all things Star Wars. My door is always open, and welcome students, staff, parents, guardians, and community stakeholders to pop in for a visit!
